Through these activities, has gained an in depth working knowledge of building and engineering construction, construction procurement and construction management processes, construction law, contract administration and the various standard forms of contract, methods of measurement, specifications and other related documentation in use both locally and internationally. On the basis of this experience and knowledge has lectured extensively and conducted training workshops on commercial and contract management issues, dispute avoidance and resolution, including assessment and management of construction risk under NEC3 and target cost contracting.

arbitrator, mediator and dispute resolution advisor

Appointed as expert advisor and expert witness many times in mediation, arbitration and litigation in respect of assessment of additional cost/loss and expense/damages claims, measurement issues, adjustment of rates, valuation of variations and causes and effects of delays and disruption to construction and engineering works. Has acted both as party appointed expert and “single joint expert” (or “tribunal expert”). Practising Member of the Academy of Experts and accredited by the Academy as an Expert. Also appointed as arbitrator, mediator and dispute resolution advisor several times.
